Don, I cannot fault any choices Mr. Bishop has made during his tenure. SGI has been a victim of external market forces that I don't think anyone could have foreseen. SGI is focused and it is lean,SGI has all the core engineering talent in tack. Good people, good management and good products with a unique value in the current market.

You just harp, they did not make a profit. I see the reasons and I don't fault the folks for their choices. I do think that those choices have now positioned SGI to profit handsomely. I don't expect those on wall street who only number crunch or you to be able to see where SGI is.

Consider that maybe SGI forecast sales and prepared for sales that were not coming to be. Well that leads to write offs of all the stuff you agreed to get but then could not use. But then 911 and the demand go back to what you predicted in the first place. The company is sized correctly and had planned for a manufacturing scale that is turning out to be in line with what it expected. All invisible positive factors that add to the bottom line. Also it is likely that a lot of unique DOD R&D to develop unique solutions will also be directly useable in commercial products. This underwriting of R&D also give positives to the bottom line and makes for future profits.

And my good friend who has bought SGI sparingly in the past year was going to buy one and now just decided to buy 2 systems. All because the latest product from SGI knocked all the competition into the sun.
