The semis are no doubt getting a boost from the launch of Windows XP and the need to replace PC and not just upgrade the operating system I am sure there is some hope that XP will launch a new round of PC upgrades. There is no need for the average consumer to upgrade anything, except maybe their monitor to a flat panel to reduce space needed. PC's are now a commodity like TV's. It is almost just a replacement market. Those buying semi stocks in the hope of PC's resuming their old growth rate are going to be sorely disappointed. Jay
