I found The Pledge too creepy to enjoy (and a bit predictable and manipulative as far as I watched it). Sort of a Silence of the Lambs type of film. It was well done.

I did not like the Pledge. The Mexican is dreadful. (IMO) The Tailor of Panama was quite entertaining and not as formulaic as I expected.

Do try to see The Endurance- the film of Shackleton's voyage to the antarctic. And don't miss Sexy Beast.

Today Amelie opens- a new film by the director of Delicatessen and City of Lost Children (one of my favorite movies). This new film is supposed to be his best ever. From the clips I've seen I'd say it will be a marvelous movie going experience.
