What are you referring to when you write "our culture" Our culture is the result of the 18th-century Enlightenment. It is the triumph, in the west, of rational inquiry, the scientific method, and respect for the sovereignty of the individual. This is the only country, in the history of the world, to be founded on Ideas. What we are seeing out of Islam is an uprising of Medieval theocracy against our culture. They hate our freedom and secularism. We are seeing this same anti-Enlightenment trend from our academic Intellectuals, who condemn science and reason as oppressive agents of the "dominant power structure", and scream it is "Racist" to regard a free society like America as superior to Third World Dictatorships.
