That's what your problem is. You've typecasted me without even reading what I had to say. I suggest you look back at the string of responses I've had to say on the subject, since my issue is beyond the petty squabbles that your describe. And frankly, I'm offended to hear this, coming from you. Have I ever called you an AMDroid?

Have I every called you an Intellatubby?

My whole reason for including the remark in parentheses at the end of the "offending" post was to make it clear that I was not grouping you in that category.

I didn't think you hid the fact that you were biased towards Intel. And that's all fair enough - it certainly doesn't detract from a well-argued point in my book.

You say you are "offended to hear this, coming from" me. Well, frankly, I was very surprised to read the following from you:

And that's the difference between hardware enthusiasts and the rest of the world. Most people can't tolerate instabilities, which is why they go with an Intel based system. The best choice is an Intel CPU, along with Intel chipset, motherboard, and networking.

This is so much more and fundamentally biased that I had expected from you. If that prompted an over-reaction from me, then I apologize.

<RE: I suggest you look back at the string of responses I've had to say on the subject>

WBMW,

Hmmm, Let's see if I am reading you right:

Your claims are:

1) a reviewer on 1 system on which he was tweaking BIOS settings and overclocking the processor had a few minor instability issues and this makes all AMD's products suspect and unreliable and calls into question the whole AMD platform.

2) Intel has had numerous major issues over the past year including issues of data corruption and yet this does not detract from their sterling reputation, "excellent products" and rock solid platform

3) The fact that Intel actually had to recall products in the very recent past is actually a positive in that it proves their dependability and integrity.

4) the fact that AMD did not recall any products proves that they are unscrupulous and dishonest.

5) all the points above can be generalized into the firm conclusion that Intel always has more reliable and stable products (after all who wouldn't prefer data corruption to the occasional need for a reboot)

These are all paraphrased claims that I have seen you make over the last 80 or so posts. If I have to I will dig up the posts that I got them from, I, like others, respect you as an invaluable source of information and opinion on this thread but your disingenuity on this stability crap is more than a little disenchanting.
