"November's numbers could/should look mild by comparison." I am not so sure about that. I was at my travel agent yesterday -- $398 round trip to Tokyo, and the planes are still half empty. Try getting a passport or anything else through a government office right now -- good luck. The employment scene is being underestimated IMO -- and cosumer confidence is in the toilet.... the market is not just ignoring bad news -- it is ignoring the risks. But then Maybe I am making too much of it -- we will see.
