You might want to check out what Hitchens has to say about Henry Kissinger sometime. I'd imagine you only like him when he cuts your way, though.

Nadine, thanks for the quick note. That it is Horowitz explains a lot. He has been on a tear for sometime with an apparent agenda of accusing the American left of whatever extravagant negative adjective he can bring to the table on any given day.

As for Chomsky, I haven't read his political views in quite a long time so I'm not at all certain what he's arguing these days.

But, as for an argument between Chomsky and Hitchens, I would guess that would redefine the meaning of "food fights". Both are quite capable of finding as good a set of adjectives as Horowitz, perhaps better.

Not my fight. Either one. And none of it, so far as I can tell, is genuinely about the "left," whatever that is.
