Zeev,

Yes, those Puts are expensive, but they can really appreciate quickly if one's timing is good, my experience being 50%-100% in a few days. The key thing is timing, and I wouldn't recommend them for anyone but the "stoutest" traders. I also never expose any more than a few percent of my 'folio to them. I do prefer the Puts over shorting, as I am no good at it either and like to know exactly how much I am risking when I assume the trade.

Jeev, I have given up playing front month options except for very small positions.
QQQ's are liquid and relatively cheap so one can buy a month or more of time compared to other things.

I have been playing the Jan or Feb 35's.

Underwater on my first couple fillings but added a few more near the top today.

What do you make of MU today?
Sheesh, I tried shorting that today and had a profit but let it slip away. Out flat.
