Dear Tgptndr: Yes, I could do that, but it doesn't stop altogether the lockups. I think that those sites try to use some extension in IE that is not standard and is not supported under Opera and that causes an infinite wait loop which in windows can be deadly. Under Linux, although Opera may lock up, it can be killed and restarted without any reboot required. Also a side benefit under Linux is that when you reload a page, it leaves you just about where you were on the previous load. Very useful for 10 post mode in SI. Pete
