Well, they went longer somewhere, because my quick calculation using my combined contracts program, shows the commercials went from

short -54554 to
short -51903

virtual S&P contracts

Gold-Increased shorts another 8000 contracts, sell the golds

Shack, yes they did increase shorts, but over the past 2 weeks they covered over 33,000.

They are still net short however, but not sure I would say sell the golds IMO.
