Don Green,

I have been perusing this thread and since I am a newcomer, I can't tell what your relationship is to SGI, although you seem to know them (well).

Maybe you know about these 2 events in the past and have some comments - I had heard this from people I knew from SGI a few years ago and their predictions about SGI's demise turned out to be true. Is this stuff still relevant?

- First SGI sold some kind of interconnect technology (?) to Sun which was some sort of competitive disaster
- Also they sold some graphics capability to Nvidia for cheap. Without graphics, what is SGI anyway? Why did they do that? I notice Nvidia has done well with it.

Are these things still relevant?

I have a sentimental attachment to SGI and am considering buying a small # shares here.
Lizzie
