Just checking in from Florida. Talk about slow.. Disney World is very slow. Hardly anyone at Epcot when we were there. Going to Busch Gardens on Wednesday. Expect that to be slow as well(which will be nice.. I am a rollercoaster fanatic; less waiting in line!) Talked to several cab drivers. They said they are really hurting. One of the larger transport co's in the area(for tourists) just went bankrupt. Disney is laying off people, closing floors of hotels, and suspended construction on some new resorts. There was supposed to be a large convention of 17,000 people a couple weeks ago. Only 4500 showed up. Probably the best thing for down here would be a really cold winter up north. btw, I always thought there was a lot of money in this area. I guess I was wrong as the median hope price is only $105k in the Orlando area. These service jobs must not pay very well <g>.
