a complete machine recount of the entire state That wasn't a recount, they just ran the ballots through a second time. You're probably rolling your eyes and saying "what do you think a recount is?". Well I think it is where you look close enough at the ballots to determine which candidate was being picked within the margin of error. That too was Florida law and that was not completed after the counters were threatened with bodily harm by Tom "the exterminator" DeLay and his huligans. Just running the same ballots through the same machines a second time is only a minor part of a total count. It will soon be clear beyond a doubt that the election would have been decided in Gore's favor. Scalia and Thomas are particularly at fault for the bad result and should be impeached for the highest of crimes. Baker and Cheney are also liable. Bush Junior was probably an ignorant pawn in the scheme. TP
