Dak, you are right about CitiBank management, they were "retired" at the time. I remember discussing the issue with some people in the "asset recovery" department of CitiBank ........ they were all shaking at the possibility that he will bolt. I had real US buyers, but they refused to sell if he did not approve ......... and for sure they succumbed

No one even tried to enforce the banking laws on him for fear that the bank will completely collapse. Do not ask about the story I heard from cover-ups, lies, expensive presents to wild parties and prostitutes

The final conclusion -- steal and do not get caught then, donate to politicians, hire expensive well connected attorney ........ and you are a free man no matter of your crimes.

Cheat on you $400,000 mortgage or $250,000 bank loan and you go up to 30 years in jail............. that is the law for submitting false financial statements to the bank............. and many small business people did and their life destroyed.
