>"Your family can live like this too.""

That's where the real war is waged. As all $$ support begins to be attacked and reduced around the world the payoffs will decrease, and with them that perverse pride, we can hope.

The excellent article makes clear the basis of their beliefs is full of contradictions, and fails under examination, and shows how they easily flip-flop for any popular leader of the moment.

It's time for Mohammad ver. 2002 to show up somewhere, as it starts becoming clear that it is unprofitable in the extreme to incite violence toward the US.

It's either that or find and expel every conceivable enemy and supporter, which is bound to affect a lot that are innocent. But IMO we're getting to that point, if there's any more warnings or a single addit'l incident.

Hi E; Thanks for the suicide bomber excerpt. Surely that would indicate that a way of reducing suicide bombing is to remove the financial incentives.

But the other thing that I thought about is what effect suicide bombers have on the suicide rate. That is, are the suicide bombers primarily people who would have quietly slit their wrists in the absence of the religious and financial incentives?

The reason for asking this is to get a handle on just how many potential suicide bombers are out there. The answer that "we just create more when we hit back against terrorism", is inadequate because it clearly fails to take into account the finite number of people available to recruit.
