"According to the Weekly Standard, for example, George W. Bush
strongly believes that God chose him to be president so that he could
lead the war against terrorism. This is actually nothing new. Shortly after
the election last year, Rev. Mark Craig, a pastor in Dallas, Texas, told
Bush from the pulpit: “You were chosen by God, as was Moses, to lead
the people.” Bush apparently agrees (though there have been no reports
of him trying to part the waters)."

Dear TP,

W has suggested that he is the chosen one. Look at it this way: Gore won the popular vote and
many folks feel Gore won the Presidential race so W has to rationalize how he ended up in
The White House. Naturally, he doesn't want to mention the fact that The United States Supreme
Court pushed him into the White House so he turns to the notion that the Christian God chose him for
the position. I wonder what another God might have said. There are many Gods in this world because
there are many religions but I don't believe W understands..

Religion is great isn't it? It allows both sides to have god on their side and Satan on the other side.

I expect Bush to declare that he was chosen by god, the very next time he says this in not a religious war against the Muslim people....at which time Pope John will pop up and point out that all churches other than the RC Church are defective...some more than others.
