Doug, Australian wines are an extraordinary value. The only competitors for quality and price are in South Africa and Chile. However, they don't have much in the way of zins down under and some don't travel all that well. Shiraz works in many of the same food combinations as zin, but it is different. Love them both, sort of like blonds and brunettes. My gout hates both. Bummer! <g>
