Re: a minority point of view
From one great thread to three inactive ones impossible to follow. Not a good result at all. I would still urge us all to go back to amat prime and post OT on all OT posts. I am posting this on all three threads. mike

Yes, interesting. But also typical of those who see America as the almighty and terrible nation that has brought all of this upon itself. It is important to understand that viewpoint and know that there are many out there who feel this way. The real problem is that, being the only superpower out there, we are going to be blamed for the evils of the world by some, no matter what we do.

Incidentally, the author of that piece was on Nightline the other night reading quotes and then explaining them. Strange how the distorted one-sided US media was giving her a forum...

Her views would carry more weight and might be listened to more closely if she was not so blatantly anti-American. By espousing the typical "it's America's fault" rhetoric, she immediately alienates even open-minded Americans who are not willing to accept an unprovoked attack on our soil.

I guess she forget that the name of the operation was changed to "Operation Enduring Freedom"...Couldn't be that it served her purpose to continue using the old name?
