That's great news, Ike! I hope the assembly will continue to be peaceful, and with one day to go, I hope the radicals do not come in the last minute and ruin the image and message of the meeting. Your description reminds me so much of the life philosophies and guidance that my Lahore acquaintances imparted on me. That's the beauty of Islam that I know of and appreciate. I am surprised the message from this event is not covered by the news media. I have forwarded your post to three newspaper editors. Another one of your OUTSTANDING coverage and "Hear it first from Ike" post, especially on this event which could have a monumental and decisive impact. I have forwarded it to three newspapers (one to the Friday Times in Lahore) with a request to forward it to the major news services. In my emails, I also included Amir Nafees' Friday Times column titled "Raiwind congregation has Govt on edge" which can be found at thefridaytimes.hypermart.net I called your post as preliminary report and included the url of your post. Your post was uplifting. These peace loving, devotees of the Muslim faith understand God. Force of any kind never accomplished anything but to create hate, fear and death. I have heard the snake UBL claims that this is a religious war. If this is a religious war, why didn't he bomb St. Patricks Cathedral or any number of Christian or Jewish houses of worship instead? If I were to start a religious war, those would be my first targets. He is a liar. This isn't a religious war. It is a war against a brutal terrorist Mafia who also happen to be Muslims. That realization is becoming clearer and clearer to the world. The "silent majority" is powerful indeed. They are also everywhere. Thank you so much for your posts. M
