I think Dresden capacity is to manufacture .18 products is not clear. Another thing that's not clear to me is if the same equipment can be used for .13u production, or if AMD is installing new equipment for that.

My guess is that AMD realized that they will never be able to sell out full capacity worth of .18u production out of Dresden in Q2 through Q4 2001, so they limited the capacity (by not fully equipping the fab, or by keeping some lines off line to prepare for .13u production.)

The end result (IMO) is that Hector & Jerry are technically right in that they are selling all they produce in Dresden, but another part of the story is that they are artificially limiting what they can produce to what they realistically expect to sell.
