To All, Very mini Barron's review. Abelson laughs at Paul O'Neill and then brings in a guy who says that O'Neill's move to eliminate the long bond is brilliant. It will stimulate the economy and the stock market. And kill bonds, of course. I find it hilarious that the perma bulls always call the mag Bearons and say that Abelson never says anything bullish when at least half of his pieces are bullish, like this one. And that is the half that is usually wrong. <g> Of course, Abelson wrecks his attempt to join the Wrongo Starrs in the bull camp with the next segment, where he hints that it is odd that this bear market bottom is taking place at a PE multiple 3 to 4 times higher than previous bear market bottoms.

Excellent article on EMC. Much better than that sad analyst from Warburg Pinko who grabbed headlines yesterday.

A nice letter from Sara Swafford chided last week's issue for naming Yahoo as the best chat board. I just think that Barron's likes the rantings of cranium-challenged cowboys more than Ms. Swafford.

All in all, not a great issue.

Cheapskat Alert, Drug Stores: Eckerd has a free Tri-Flex razor or blades, if you already own the razor. Does any man actually buy razors or blades any more with the druggies giving them away free every month? I hope not. A decent brand of single day's dose vitamin/minerals. Overpriced, but, since you get every penny back, who cares? Also, NuHair herbal/vitamin blend for women. I use it, too, to get in touch with my feminine side. <VBG> Forget the woman stuff. Forget the hair stuff. It is just a nice, healthy herbal blend any health food nut could love. Again, pricey as hell, but you get it all back.

Walgreen's is a bit more medicinal than Eckerd this month. You get some free Fisherman's Friend cough drops, which taste like menthol Altoids. Goooood! Supress antiacid and calcium supplement gum is an interesting product, especially for women who want bone density. Two, count them, two different free tooth brushes, a Reach and an Oral-B. I now have 17 unopened tooth brushes in my medicine cabinet. And free Right Guard deodorant.

Adios, time to go use my triple coupons up to 50 cents at Randall's Grocery.
