Dear Flapjack: First off GWB did in fact inherit an economy already sinking long before he took office. I first noticed it about May of 2,000 though I understand it officially started in April. Secondly, our newspaper just this morning printed an article in which economists studied BOTH plans. they came to the conclusion that likely neither will turn the tide very soon. So, if you say you have no confidence in either party to end it you may be correct but to say this Administration is incorrect. Personally, I have always said economic cycles come and go like the tide and are more powerful then any politicians and their puny attempts to control it. I think the Fed Chairman made matters worse when he failed to see what was happening in time, now we just got to ride it out. JDN

Yes, you're now so filled with *hatred*, you are incapable of seeing a genuine expression of respect and admiration for our President.

Today, the country is united behind George W. Bush because we sense in him what has been missing for so long in our political leaders. An uncomplicated, matter-of-fact straight shooter, who is genuine to the core. A "Principle Centered" person, who creates the environment around which honorable men and women from both sides of the aisle can collaborate with for the good of the nation. The best people in civil service are drawn toward this kind of leader.

It's the 'character thing' flapjack. That undefinable thing we conservatives have been trying to tell modern liberals has been missing for years.

One last thing, the unemployment rate isn't the worst its been in 21 years. We may have seen the largest one month jump in 21 years, but the rate is about where it was in 96. Yup, 96...Remember, during the *boom* years.

Now, back to your hate filled posts....
