Dear Dan3: Two big problems with this benchmark: 1) Not task based. There are many ways to do something and some are faster than others. Thus, not truly measuring the speed at which a task is performed, but the speed over a given way to do it which, as shown in the descriptions, was not a good method to accomplish the task. 2) No method to verify that the compiled program does what it is supposed to do and does not play any substitution games, etc. This yields to tricks and deceptions too well. Also does not stop GDIBGO (good data in, but garbage out). There are other problems with this. Pete
