"Surely a compromise can be worked out"

I agree, and I appreciate your thoughtful responses to this issue. I came across a bit strong yesterday (and maybe still am), but hey, this is an example of the issues that are worth discussing.

Also - what the heck are all you guys (TP, you, E.T.) doing on your computers on a Saturday a.m.? Guess I can't talk, but I just flicked mine on and saw a bunch of messages so thought I would respond. Now its time to go enjoy this great Saturday a.m.

Surely a compromise can be worked out.

I sure hope so, I've been following this story and it rips at my heart and rekindles the anger I have for the assholes that did this.

For me, I'd like to see the cleanup go as long as it takes to properly recover those fallen Americans. And everyday and night on every newscast have the story of each victim and the victims's family as they are recovered. That way we will remember why we are undertaking a military operation in the first place. If we don't and we falter there is no doubt in my mind there are plans already in the works that will make WTC/911 look like a picnic.

As for your other post to me, I am registered as an Independant, not Republican so spare me the Repub crap in the future. Big party politics is the problem not the solution. I skew much closer to Libertarions than anything else. Our entire tax policy is screwed up.

BTW, on the subject of jobs, just how many jobs are going to be created when we increase the minimum wage? Do you think businesses are waiting till the new minimum kicks in and then they will be hiring like crazy?
