Re: How we evolved The story of the technology of warfare is very simple. Technology is used to provide ever-more-lethal means of destruction until it reaches a level where annihilation becomes possible. At that point humanity either learns to solve its differences through other means or it destroys itself. Much of the world has reached that precipice and wisely pulled back. That, in essence, is the history of the Cold War. Sadly, other parts of the world have not yet internalized this reality.
