Not everyone agrees , but I see this as time being on our side. The noose is tightening the more we get a handle on the worldwide financing, and pull other strings to make life difficult, and, let's face it, life had been incredibly good for decades, with a river of money coming in from everywhere, including us. It was "Blame the US, get a cookie", now, no more cookies.

Like the so-grateful family that gets BRAND NEW COUCH AND NICE APARTMENT after their son blows himself up as a suicide bomber ... As sick as it is they'll be a little less likely to go along with the game when they lose a son and their neighbors see them still starving in a hovel with no more respect than they had to begin with.

Pretty soon, they'll be arguing, "no, Omar's a couch-and-chair kid, that's what Ahmed's mom got", and they'll say no, and she'll say "ok, how about two sons for two couches and a Datsun"

This isn't very funny but neither is what's going on over there.

We can leave the military response throttle at "Medium Horror" and gradually start to see defections. When start hearing the "Mother of all Battles" talk we'll know it's working. Besides, we're getting better at this. It's the tunnels now, and there are better ways to find and defeat those than we had.
