Captain:

I have thought that when he is found he will just be contained for as long as possible to allow time for whatever the next phase becomes and to follow up on internal security. The goal should be to kill him before he dies of kidney disease I agree. Perhaps we should look for him here.

Perhaps we should verify that all the machines are where they are supposed to be. I would think that if we counted only seven in Saudi Arabia where there should be eight, that would pretty well clinch their involvement in helping him to stay alive.

Probably he has had to revert to peritoneal dialysis. There is no need for even electricity. He just needs to have good stock of dialysis solution, but that should also be traceable. At any rate, the incidents of infection with peritoneal are much higher. Keeping the catheter sterile next to the skin at entry is more difficult than with the shunt used for blood dialysis. Keeping the lungs dry and staving off pneumonia will be harder no matter what in a cave in winter in Afghanistan.

Regards

Bob
