We are getting closer!

The infrastructure is too broad for any one company to undertake. And my point is that the spending energizes the economy so it might as well create something useful rather than just paying out a dole.
The Japan situation started with a much bigger bubble and different set of attitudes. We do have proof that gov'"t spending works. WWII == huge amounts that did not create marketable supply so actually had a double whammy, so that if we spend to create supply we may have to spend even more.

My post re Wall Street Week also opened up discussion of p/e s.....
soomeone mentioned TRKN as one of my answers to the 70 X next years earnings. IMHO next year earnings are not the whole story. Total cap and sales are also important. A small cap with growing sales, good cash position, little or no debt and a killer ap [such as TRKN just announced] might even be ok at 70 x but it is
available at one tenth that, so my argument is that the gurus are not very helpful when they keep repeating that the NASDAQ is at 70 times next years earnings. Averages are misleading. You can drown in a swimming pool even though the average depth may be only four feet.
