Amazingly yes. A really dumb PC elected official thought that saying the pledge would hurt some folks feelings and when as your read the flag was shown and the pledge was given the elected official fired the guy.

The lady is bonkers if you ask me. If I saw her I boo her.

Dear Derek: Search me, I am only reporting the facts as I saw them. Actually, it is my understanding the govt code REQUIRES the American and California flag be flown at all meetings, however this fact was unknown earlier. This gentlemen learned of it and borrowed some flags, it was his idea to recite the Pledge of Allegiance as part of the 9/11 observance. Audience was OK with it, only this county govt official had a problem with it. JDN
