Lee, I trained her to be a "index" technician. When I ask her if the index's are going up or down, she barks. One bark is down and two barks is up. She's right fifty percent of the time, which is better than most of the tech guru's out there. Best of all, I don't have to listen to all of the techie "noise". One or two barks and that's all I need to know.

Interestingly, I tried to teach her how to understand graphs and all the "technical" jargon used by the tech wizards and she was so confused that I thought I'd have to take her to the "doggie doc". She was "clueless" in calling the market direction. It was so bad that she refused to fetch the IBD and the WSJ in the morning. With time, biscuits, and promises never to read another technician report to her, she came around.

No way I'd try to teach her to be my caddy. Gosh, she'd be so embarrassed I'm sure she'd run off and never come back.
