RE:Is there one similiar to the WSJ there?

Financial Times would be the closest. Christian Science Monitor is available in England, I'm sure. My brother was interested in Christian Science for a while.
BTW, I was in a serious accident when I was 16 in England and was treated under the National Health Service. I had a compounded broken femur (i.e totally broken in two and it was sticking out of the back of my leg), broken arm and head injuries, I was on the critical list for several days and had to have several pints of blood and two operations. The treatment I received was excellent. I had a pin inserted in my femur which was removed two years later at my request. I went on to be an active soccer and rugby player for many years and have even run a couple of marathons. So, I guess they did a good job :-)
