"America as we know it" was destroyed back in the 60's, as far as I'm concerned. It's all a matter of perception, but the party has already been over for a long time, as I see it, mainly thanks to the politically correct movement of the past 30+ years. Sure, we're still a good country as compared to most (but not all) others. But then again, one day old doughnuts are better than two day old doughnuts. Know what I mean?
