re:Even IF they were shot down, I am glad they are not broadcasting it. No reason to give the press to the bad guys. Don't think you've noticed it, but the bad guys are scooping us in the press, nationally and internationally, and I think one of the reasons is because we are releasing so little info of our own. The world only hears of us bombing the hell out a an impoverished bunch of civilians while the Pentagon chooses to put a lid on any military news that might prove otherwise. The Taliban is taking journalists from around the world on "guided " tours of the war damage while the nation with the best electronics in world provides little to give us a sense of progress and boost our morale. Incidentally, in my opinion, the best coverage in the country is coming from the NYTimes in a special section they have created since 911 called "A Nation Challenged"....contains details of anything and everything related to the 911 massacre and the ensuing events.
