You're over-generalizing. I remember falling asleep at the Sunken Diamond when I was dragged to Stanford baseball and at Candlestick when I went with friends or family to watch the Giants. At several hundred basketball and football games in person and who knows how many on tv, this has never happened to me. In fact, the only other time I remember falling asleep watching an athletic event was cricket in Britain, so I blame baseball and cricket for being B-O-R-I-N-G.

But, anyway, I'll take your word that there was something special about this year's World Series.
