The ADMCF34x series features enhanced motor current sensing integration that enables a 30 percent reduction in system component count and control bill of materials cost. These new devices are the first embedded DSP controllers to offer this high level of mixed-signal integration for motor current sensing. About ADI's ADMCF34x Series of DashDSP Solutions ADI's ADMCF34x family features an enhanced analog front end that integrates bipolar current sense amplifiers with programmable sample-and-hold capability for simultaneous sampling of up to three channels. The ADMCF340 and ADMCF341 are offered in flash memory versions and pin-compatible lower-cost ROM versions that can be used for high volume mass production. All ADMCF34x products are code compatible with the ADMCF32x DashDSPs and ADI's entire family of general purpose ADSP-21xx 16-bit, fixed-point DSPs. On-chip motor control peripherals are optimized for sensorless or sensor control of multi- phase motors and include: a three-phase PWM generation unit, dual auxiliary PWM timer outputs and serial ports with SPI support. The ADMCF340 features 13 analog channels, including three current sense inputs, and 25 digital I/O channels for use with permanent magnet brushless dc, ac induction, permanent magnet synchronous and switched reluctance motors.
