I think if the Fed Funds rate goes below 2% the markets will really react negatively.
IE: IF theygo 1/2% tomorrow, it better take effect so they don't have to cut any more. Or if they do 1/4 tomorrow, they better not have to go 1/2 next meeting.


I saw a prediction that they would go to 1 percent by early next year.

Cutting rates more and more is kind of like pumping more and more gas into a car with a broken axle. It makes the car capable of going a long ways, but it can only go when the axle gets fixed.

If I were Greenspan I'd save my ammo for a time when it might have an effect.
