Itronics GOLD'n GRO Fertilizer Sales Increase 3,700 Percent in October

Business Editors

RENO, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2001--Itronics Inc.
(OTCBB:ITRO) today reported that GOLD'n GRO fertilizer sales by its
subsidiary, Itronics Metallurgical, Inc., increased 3,700 percent in
October 2001 compared to the same month last year. Itronics sales for
the fourth quarter are now projected to be about 10 times greater than
last year's fourth quarter.
"The sales increase is a result of shipping tank truck loads of
GOLD'n GRO products to Western Farm Services from the Reno processing
plant," said Dr. John Whitney, Itronics President. "The truck load
shipments are expected to continue until the rainy season begins in
California in December and then resume when the weather clears in
February and March."
"Truck load and partial truck load orders are being received for
the products used by Western Farm Services retail customers in the
turf, nursery, vegetable, citrus, and fruit tree markets," said Dr.
Whitney. "Field trials are continuing to produce meaningful increases
in crop output and quality for various products with large markets."
Itronics, through its subsidiary, Itronics Metallurgical, Inc., is
the only company in the world with the technology to extract more than
99 percent of the silver and virtually all the other toxic heavy
metals from photowaste and to convert the resulting liquid into
environmentally beneficial, chelated, multinutrient liquid fertilizer
products sold under the trademark GOLD'n GRO. Itronics was recently
selected as one of five finalists for the 2001 Kirkpatrick Chemical
Engineering Award, the most prestigious award in the chemical process
industries worldwide.
Itronics Inc. is one of Nevada's leading process technology
development companies and a world leader in photochemical recycling.
Headquartered in Reno, Nevada, it specializes in recycling technology
