I read that and posted that yesterday... I found that suchhh a positive step. That is indeed how religions should be forced to adapt and change to fit the modern age. The caste system worked back then, it doesn't make any sense right now, and yet, there are millions of delusional Hindu's clinging to this self serving model of human classification. This step by the forgotten and oppressed section of Hindu community not only forces mainstream hindus to think twice about the stupidity of their religious beliefs, it also brings 50,000 men and women into loving folds of religion which works for their benefit and which they can call their own. For after all is said and done, what is religion if it is not hope ? Its infinitely better than taking up arms and resorting to violence anyway, which would have been the other recourse...this is a win win situation for everyone.... Buddhism is a very beautiul, peaceful, spiritual and tolerant sect. I have often contemplated conversion myself....maybe one day i will... Message 16606764
