To Amein (or any other Muslim on this board): Were you aware of the following?

Where does the name Allah come from?

Answer:

Allah was a idol diety of Mohammad father's temple. Mohammad's father's name was Abdullah, which means the curtain bearer of Allah, because he opened the curtain for the statue of allah for everyone in the temple to look at and pray to.

At the time there were four Gods that Arabs worshipped at various part of their country, Allah, Allat, Almenat and Ozzi. Mohammad killed off the followers of the other dieties and made his supreme. Thus "Allah is Great" is the chant of Islamists, to emphasize the supremacy of Allah over the other Arab dieties.

Now here is where it gets interesting! If Mohammad was the first person who thought of the word Allah then why was his father's name Abdullah. If anything his father should have been the prophet, or you may even argue his grand father should have been the prophet, who had the wisdom to name his son Abdullah.
