True, even if Blair was flying a B52, it really isn't a chivalrous design of aircraft.

Noticed some weeks back that the UN grains stores got hit repeatedly "by accident".

In Tony's lingo, I'm just trying to "join up the dots here" -g-.

There is a massive humanitarian problem growing, I cannot imagine it being ignored completely. Food will be desperately short for Afghanistan and the refugee camps. Having 6 million starve will not look good on the Western Allies.

Maybe having a short term food crisis that includes the Taliban could prevent a longer term problem with more suffering?

I don't know the answer to these questions of course.
Undoubtably a serious situation though.
