Jim,

When I talked about nationalist Arab leaders who are on our side I didn't mean the Saudis, but the Egyptians and such.
The Arab world is split between Arab nationalists (led by Egypt) and Muslim fundamentalists (led by Iran). Surprisingly, Sadam Hussein is on our side now.

Jim, getting back to my comment on carpet-bombing and it's purpose. The purpose here isn’t to kill anyone; it's to keep the enemy awake for weeks on end. It's loud and it shakes the ground in a biblical kind of way. They will soon realize that no one country could possibly have the fire power to maintain this level of violence, at this intensity, for this amount of time, unless it’s back-up by a bigger stronger god. My feeling is if a person is dumb enough to succumb to the Muslim faith, he is dumb enough to believe that the U.S. is bigger than Allah.

There will be a diplomatic solution to this, but only after the average Muslim animal becomes more weary and afraid of the U.S. than his own god. Demoralization is needed so the general population will become truly repulsed by anyone or anything that even resembles terrorism. It worked in Desert Storm and it will work here – the only thing that needs to be formulated is an exit strategy or possibly the lack of one.

The U.S. is still on the right track – JMHO!
