I'm reminded of George Carlan's old skit on the differences between baseball and football... but I digress... I've always liked both baseball and football, but even baseball is not free of rule "tweaking" to sell tickets. A home run race seems to sell to the masses, whereas a pitcher's duel does not. I LIKE 1-0 games personally. I've been a Braves fan since roughly 1983... A good pitcher's duel is like a game of chess. I used to watch pro football a lot when I was younger, now I much prefer college. College football teams have traditions, loyalties, and elements that you're not going to see on the pro turf. I've never been a huge basketball fan... I like to play occasionally, but I can generally take or leave pro basketball. College is, again, better IMHO. Soccer RULES... ahem Soccer is one of those games I've always enjoyed, and am very glad to see is getting more coverage.
