John,

Intel was mentioned in the Cisco CC by John Chambers. He said that Cisco was doing the same type of thing as Intel and Microsoft, that is, spending some of their cash to gain market share back. Sounds like Cisco is gaining back vs. Juniper and the other small ones like Extreme, Corvis, etc., as Intel is vs. AMD. Other things Cisco said were that they weren't sure when the bottom would be reached in their markets, hopefully in the next quarter or two; and that they were projecting revenues for the current quarter to be flat to 5% down. But they were up a buck or so in AH!
