It's very American to take cheap shots at politicians. Cource it's better if there's some truth behind it and expressed with a dash of wit. An example of humorless bashing based on a lie about Cheney:

No one has ever seen this man's mouth actually move. No one can take one look at his oddly spiritless and wan figure and not think, oh dear God, that man is running on fumes.

it depends...!? How can you equivocate about your unequivocal statement? Here's a fact, if nothing else changed about GW's presidency, policies, past and present except that he was instead, a democrat, you'd hate him and find fault with everything he's doing. Isn't that true?
