I think the comment was directed toward the groundforce recon team. The story was that those men ran into fierce resistance and had to hotfoot it out of there in a hurry after taking casualties. I don't think anyone (including the Pentagon) disputed that the chopper crew was injured...

I first read it as a brief headline story....don't remember where.....NYTimes had more details this morning including details on the weather problems at high altitude... I still have the feeling we're getting less info than is feasible and probably a few lies....
