Sorry Ray but people will say anything to sell a book! Ms Fonda was and still is a traitor that has stated she was wrong and sorry. She was partially responsible for approx 1MM deaths. The Anti-war movement alone was responsible for extending the war each time NVN was ready to quit. I suggest you go here and do a little research especially on the Congressional hearings nationalalliance.org. You may want to contact Sen Smth for some facts instead of the BS. Fonda a 'do gooder' is like saying shit is ice cream..

RaymondDuray,
I had the opportunity to hear Fonda speak at a college I attended in 1971. The vets in the audience were well aware of her Hanoi visit and while most of the sordid details were not known in 1971, her reactions to questions from veterans at that time indicate to me that this "urban legend" is for the most part true.

I would also note that these veterans were not ROTC guys in uniform, but young men who served in Vietnam, many of whom became very disillusioned by the experience and turned "hippie" when they came home. Some of these vets even went to Peace demonstrations.
Even so, NONE of them liked Hanoi Jane one bit.

I believe the "urban legend" here is the revisionist history you mention.
