I am afraid that any rights we give up in this time of crisis have the potential of becoming permenant

Of course they will, ratan. That is what I hate about the whole situation. If you want to see how bad it can get, take a look at what happened to personal rights during and right after WWI.

In the case of this Green Party Official, I would bet that this lady was not even known by the guards to be a member of the party. She is with a political party that has a history of bad-mouthing and harassing Police and security people, and when she did it at the Airport, she got nailed. Then, afterwards, she tried to make a political issue out of it.

I have a hard time building up any sympathy for her or her kind. The left in this country didn't even wait for the ashes to get cold at the Trade Towers before they started trotting out their "Blame Us," "Its Oil and Capitalism," "Look at the reasons we are hated in the Islamic world," and "lets quit supporting Israel," articles and Campus meetings.
