Dave, I still think it is too bad that the competitors of MSFT are the ones pushing their state AGs to not accept the deal.

IMHO, it should be only the DOJ that deals on such matters; it is now obvious why.

Rotten Apple code...

"I just installed the OS X version of iTunes 2 and it seems to have almost wiped all my non-OS X hard drive partitions clean," wrote one Mac user. "I have a 40GB Maxtor partitioned into 8 sections and a 20GB Maxtor drive. The OS X partition seems to be OK, but, other than a few token folders and files, all my other partitions have been erased."

Hell of a way to rid the system of competitors Software. Shame on them.

>But don't forget that every state has computer customers,
and those people are giving many billions of dollars every year to MSFT

perhaps they also have car customers or dish-washer customers, and those people are also paying for the goodies

>If MSFT had to compete in a free marketplace, that cost would most likely be a few billion dollars less.

then also Ford or GM should be sued because they don't give away cars for free.

The more this goes on, the more I see the resurgence of communism within the free world. What is really driving a jerk like you crazy is the simple fact that M$FT has made it IN BUSINESS and will keep making it. Pretty much Soviet style: there is no evil more evil than profit.
