It doesn't matter to me that he lost. I only brought Ortega up as part of an example of misguided U.S. policy in central america. Ortega is a powerful national hero. It's like Churchill after WW2, he did a good job at war, but who needs the guy to run the country. I suspect you don't know much about the incredible terror Somoza inflicted on his people. Ortega was a revolutionary like the revolutionaries that rose up against British rule in United States.
