AllansAlias: I suspect no one wants to be called a clown even when you suggest it is understood on "SI" that it is a synonym for a naive permabull. I consider the "clown" repartee just as childish and immature.

What would you call a permabear? There is a thread populated by them on SI. Yes the very thread dedicated to insulting those they consider naïve permabulls or clowns as you say is the accepted term on SI. I doubt those being called a clown find it very acceptable.

Allan, my contention is that it is wrong to do either, an insult is an insult. However, SI Administration must agree it is OK for the permabears to insult. SI Administration has not only allowed this activity to occur for years, SI Administration has actually protected the permabears from those being insulted from responding publicly to those doing the insulting. It has been and continues to be a pathetic display of bias by SI Administration, a baton that seems to pass from one administrator to the next.

Regards,
LG

Very poor taste. Imho, that sentiment is the opposite of what Christmas should evoke in the human spirit.
Here's hoping you are visited by the spirits on Christmas eve. -g/ng
